ABSTRACT:
The county of Osona is one the counties of Carolingian Catalonia.
Place-name maps. In the county place-name map, an attempt has been made to locate all the place-names mentioned in the documents between the years 798 and 993.
Economic maps. The first map is devoted to woodland, pastureland and farmland. On the map of transport and industries are shown the main communication routes and documented flourmills.
Map of domains. The main lords were the counts, the viscounts and certain royal vassals. The ecclesiastical lords also had great domains, especially the Episcopal sees and the monasteries (Santa Maria de Ripoll, Sant Joan de les Abadesses).
Index. The index includes all the place-names that appear in the place-names map, including those for witch there is only an approximate location.
